This pre-historic civilization flourished from the third till the middle of the second millennium B.C, when it mysteriously disappeared. The archeological excavations place Mohenjo-Daro among the most spectacular ancient cities of the world. It had mud-brick and baked-brick buildings, an elaborate covered drainage system with soak pits for disposal bins, a large and imposing building (probably a palace) and citadel mound which incorporates in its margin a system of solid burnt brick towers. Overnight Larkana

Day 04: Drive to Sukker en-route explore Kot Diji for, hundreds of years ago, at the edge of a desert in Sindh, Talpurs constructed a massive fort atop a hill. This emblematic fort, dominating the town of kotdiji in Kharpur, was built in 1785. Continue drive to Khairpur, visit Faiz Mahal, It was built by Mir Sohrab khan in 1798 as the principal building serving as the sovereign’s court for the royal palace complex of Talpur monarchs of the Khairpur dynast. Day 05: Early morning drive to seven sister’s tombs in rohri also known as Sateen Jo Aastan is the resting place for the seven female friends. According to folklore these female friends resided here. These unmarried females veiled themselves from all the males, a practice called purdah (the practice of preventing men from seeing women). But for the fear of tyrannical raja resulted in their disappearance, possibly in a cave in the side of a hill. Thus, they became satti. It is probable that this folklore has it its origins in the Hindu ritual of sati, and ritual where widow burnt themselves or were burnt on their dead husband’s pyre.
